Kaden Alan Kirk is a Utah-based artist currently studying art with a technology emphasis at Brigham Young University. He is also working toward getting his teaching licensure and is hoping to pursue an MFA in the future. Kaden works with a broad range of mediums such as sculpture, painting, drawing and printmaking, but is currently most interested in photography and collage. His work of late has been exploring concepts of memory and the passing of time. He thinks of his works as journal entries or fragments and physical manifestations of moments in time. Lately he’s been experimenting with ways to combine physical and digital mediums such as collaging risograph prints or painting/drawing on photographs. Kaden has been working to find throughlines in seemingly separate mediums by combining and addressing similar ideas within them.
